Wendy is a Dr. Hauschka certified esthetician. She is also our clay bath technician and colon hydroptherapist.
Wendy was born in Plymouth NH. She grew up in Mason NH, at Pickity Place (a gift shop, 5 course gourmet herbal restaurant, and little red riding hood museum) which her parents created. She attended High Mowing Waldorf School 7-12th grades in Wilton NH, and Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs NY. She worked in the pottery studio extensively through high school and continued to work with clay on her own through college. She worked for potteries in St. Thomas USVI and Colorado. She started her own production pottery business in 1999 called 'The Voice Of Clay'. Through teaching classes in her studio she noticed an energetic transformation of her students as they worked with clay. This inspired a quest for information about the healing properties of clay. She also participated in two Shamanic apprenticeships which taught her specific healing rituals and has been researching and working with clay in a holistic manner since. She has 2 children, Zachary 14 (an advanced Celtic Harpist) and Alexandra 12 (a passionate actress)!
Why did you become a Healer-Educator? I have been a professional potter for over 10 years and have been working with clay for about 20. Through teaching I noticed a shift in peoples energy when working with clay. I became interested in the healing properties of clay and have been researching, teaching holistic clay classes and sharing treatments since. Having had a Waldorf education I was taught a holistic perspective, integrating head, heart and hands. Sharing this outlook feels great as I empower people and lead them to new possibilities.

Where do you go to escape the office? No need to escape...I am so happy to be here, but if I felt the need I would go into the woods behind my house and sit by the river.
What photos do you have on your desk? At home....a photograph of the Goetheanum in Switzerland, a picture of Einstein and a couple of Waldorf inspired watercolors.
What's your favorite book? There are so many - not an easy choice. But there is one I go back to often – “The Way of the Wizard” by Deepak Chopra.
